It can be frustrating! There are just too many possible answers thrown at us, from diet plans and pills shown on TV to the latest diet fad our friends learned about on the internet.
Some individuals jump from diet to diet or pill to pill. And if weight is lost, it usually comes back.
Are we surprised that weight loss is a 72 billion-dollar industry?
For most people, weight loss is a highly personal issue that can be difficult to discuss, especially if one has a considerable amount of weight to lose. It is easier to buy a product or sign up for an online program than to communicate with another person about the real issue. But picking a weight-loss method on one’s own can be a shot in the dark with nothing lost but money.

Face it. In our society, it is not OK to be overweight. Yet, at the same time, many habits in our current culture are conducive to weight gain.
Diet and Exercise
It is easier to eat processed foods on the go. They are cheaper and faster. These foods are high amounts in fat and carbohydrates and fattening.
Typically, we are more sedentary than prior generations because so many careers involve sitting (or standing) for hours at a time in front of a computer.
There are two places to start with– diet and exercise.

Obviously, cutting out bad carbs and sugary foods is a good place to start. But there is more to know about diet and how it relates to YOU.

What Kind of Exercise Will Help Me to Lose Weight?
Exercise is important in losing weight and is more effective with a healthy diet. Exercise and diet are both necessary elements for a sensible and healthy weight loss program. Dr. Pence will help work out what exercises will work for you as part of your weight loss program.
