Fibromyalgia
What is Fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is one of the most baffling illnesses on the planet. Characterized by chronic fatigue and pain and tenderness in the soft tissue and muscle, fibromyalgia has only been recognized as a medical disorder since the 1980s.
Pain and Discomfort
People with fibromyalgia report chronic, achy muscular pain in many specific but widely dispersed sites, particularly the lower back, neck, shoulders, upper chest and thighs.
What Causes Fibromyalgia?
Though the cause of fibromyalgia remains unclear, scientists at Georgetown University may have found a link between the disease and another condition: sinusitis, an inflammation of the membranes that line the nose and sinus cavities. The Georgetown study suggests that while treating the sinuses won’t cure fibromyalgia, there’s a chance it may relieve some of the pain and fatigue associated with the condition.
Relief from Fibromyalgia pain
The precise cause of fibromyalgia remains uncertain, but evidence suggests that the immune system is involved. Dr. Tim Pence can advise you of the treatments available for sinusitis. He can also provide treatment to relieve muscle pain, improve sleep quality and increase your energy.
Fibromyalgia pain can travel throughout your body and be severe. Healthy support can help relieve fibromyalgia discomfort, no matter what other treatment you are receiving.
